Valentines' day!!

Saint Valentine's Day is an annual commemoration held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions. The day is named after one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasius I in 500 AD. It is traditionally a day on which lovers, friends, boyfriends and girlfriends express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines").
In Brazil we have "dia dos namorados"celebrated on June 12th, it is different from valentines' because only boyfriends and girfriends change gifts!




How about working this poem with your students?You can erase some words and ask them to guess, write or create new ones  rebuilding the poem!There are many possibilities!It's up to you!

 Hi everybody !
 APLITINS BOARD would like to thank all teachers, students and speakers, who shared experiences with great energy and effort in this seminar to improve  professional competence in Tocantins . We are very proud of our success in this event . Many thanks for your contribution, specially our associated teachers and Letras students who helped to support it! Let's remember the great English Poet John Donne who said in a poem " No man is an island entire of itself" , let's make his words part of our lives! Join us!!
